John Fontana, as Vice President of Industrial Acquisitions, is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and executing Saxum’s Industrial acquisition and joint venture opportunities. Throughout his career, John has overseen the acquisition and redevelopment of more than 40 real estate transactions, comprising over 700 thousand square feet of space and $300 million of total capitalization, including raw land development sites, office buildings, industrial, retail, and medical properties. Before joining Saxum, John was a Director of Acquisitions at Jadian Capital overseeing property acquisitions, development, and portfolio growth for Collection Center Property Company; a startup real estate fund focused on the life science sector.
Prior to Jadian Capital, John was a Vice President at AR Global Investments focused on acquisitions and asset management across four distinct portfolios with a combined value of $12 billion. Most notably, John drove portfolio growth across New York City REIT (NYSE: NYC), Necessity Retail REIT (NASDAQ: RTL), and Health Care Trust, Inc. Before joining AR Global Investments, John was a Senior Analyst at Cushman and Wakefield where he was directly involved in 146 transactions having an aggregate value of $5.8 billion across ground up development, office, retail, hotel, industrial, mixed-use and multifamily NYC investments.
John received his MBA degree in Corporate Finance with a minor in Entrepreneurship from New York University Stern School of Business and a B.S. degree in Real Estate Finance from New York University. He has also guest-lectured at New York University and is a frequent volunteer for the Alzheimer’s Association and GiGi’s Playhouse.
