Acquisitions Analyst

Saxum Real Estate, one of the fastest growing real estate development firms in the nation, is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Acquisitions Analyst. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed financial modeling utilizing Excel and Argus across industrial, multifamily, and student housing asset types, including waterfall distribution modeling
  • Conduct asset/market research including market demand drivers and sales/leasing competitive set
  • Assist with new acquisition due diligence including compiling, reviewing and analyzing DD materials
  • Assist with financial reporting to lenders and joint venture partners
  • Spearhead the writing and creation of quarterly Asset Management Reports, Financing and Investment Memoranda
  • Assist with quarterly and annual asset management, including quarterly model updates, annual forecasting and ad-hoc responsibilities
  • Opportunities to travel to targeted and existing projects across the nation to perform due diligence


  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Science or Math: GPA 3.5+
  • 1-2 years of relevant professional experience in real estate, investment banking or finance
  • High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Argus (proficiency test will be part of selection process)
  • Demonstrated financial modeling skills, with waterfall modeling preferred
  • Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent quantitative, written and verbal communication skills with ability to think creatively
  • Capable of handling multiple projects and analyzing high volume of deals quickly and accurately
