Saxum Names Matthew Wassel & Kieran Flanagan as New Principals

Jan 19, 2022: Saxum promotes two new principals during a record year with the firms’ team growing by over 50% to over 30 professionals.

Matt Wassel joined Saxum as Director of Leasing in Q1 2018 to spearhead the leasing of the firms’ portfolio, while also playing a critical role in the future growth of the firm. Since then, he has inked over 2 million SF of leases, built a dynamic leasing team and help emboldened Saxum’s vision through his creative leadership. Matt’s role as leader in the firm has expanded to become a critical voice in Saxum’s long-term growth, leasing, asset management and strategic planning. Matt was also responsible for the opening of Saxum’s Austin office which commenced in 2020 under his leadership. As a newly promoted Principal, Matt will continue to lead Saxum’s growing leasing team to execute on Saxum’s multiple investment strategies.

Kieran Flanagan joined Saxum as Director of Construction in 2016 and has overseen the construction and development of over 4 million sf of Saxum’s rapidly growing portfolio. With over thirty years of experience in construction spanning multiple asset classes, he has been a critical force in Saxum’s growth, especially through one of the most challenging construction environments in the last 50 years. He has grown his dynamic team of construction professionals executing on dozens of projects across the country. As Principal, Kieran will continue to lead the execution of Saxum’s construction projects across the country while also strategically building and expanding the organizations’ ability to continuously meet and exceed its growth expectations nationwide.
